"As a landscape
painter, I am acutely attuned to the threat to the beautiful
environment of the central coast, having seen some wonderful
scenic views gobbled up by housing developments quicker than
you can say, 'protected viewshed'. The Elkhorn Slough area
has some of my favorite painting sites, and is quite unique
in its confluence of water, rolling hills, woodland and
wildlife. "It is hoped, that in
some small way, my paintings (and those of other artists) of
the Slough area will help raise awareness of the fragility
of the amazing landscapes we are fortunate to live
amongst." -
