3/27/06: This week, Old Barn by Cynthia Leeder. This shot was taken was taken in the Summer of 2005 with a Canon EOS Elan 7ne, 28-135 mm zoom lens, Fuji Velvia color slide film.

This dreamy affect was produced by taking two photographs- one in sharp focus at F22 and 2 stops overexposed, the other in blurry focus wide open and 1 stop overexposed.  The two slides are then mounted together and scanned.

Leeder writes,"I am trying to take pictures that expose the beauty of the Elkhorn Slough Reserve in new ways...  I hope to capture a beauty of the reserve that touches the spirit and excites a love for this land." She is an amateur photographer from the Bay Area.
