4/24/06: This week, The Egret Has Landed by Robert Shaffer. This shot was taken in March of this year at Stawberry Lagoon with a Nikon D70 and Nikon 500mm f/4 lens.

Robert is an amateur photographer and it was the slough that inspired him to purchase a camera last year.  He's a family man and consulting structural engineer who drives Elkhorn Road 5 days a week to his office, but he says, "to call my drive a commute would be like calling Yosemite a campground."
