It’s Just the Otter’s Way of Saying Welcome

6/1/07: This month we feature a photo by Robert Syms.
Jon Henderson and his girlfriend Danielle Sutherland rented a kayak from a local shop and toured the slough on Sunday April 22nd, the otters made them feel welcome. Danielle’s first kayaking trip and the views were spectacular…I think she’s hooked.

Equipment used: Canon 20D Digital SLR with a 70-200mm and 2x teleconverter, U/V filter

Robert works for Pacific Gas & Electric and runs a home based photo studio in his spare time. Having spent many weeks in the slough area working on various environmental projects, Robert has fallen in love with the wildlife. According to Robert, "I tend to spending my weekends kayaking and photographing the scenery. Even though the Moss Landing Power Plant is no longer owned by PG&E anymore I still frequent the area often."
