Friendly Otter Posses for Photograph ©2007, Andrew Gaines

This month we feature a photograph by local photographer Andrew Gaines.
This image was made about a year ago near Moss Landing. According to Gaines, "The Otter swam to edge of shore, less than three feet from me and waived.
My brother in law from Santa Fe New Mexico, Vahl Jackson, witnessed the event and said it was one of the most amazing animal experiences he had ever seen."
