Slough Boardwalk

This month we feature a photograph by Cynthia Leeder.

"This picture was taken of the boardwalk on the Long Valley Loop Trail. The day was, overcast and misty, but the slough was mirror smooth. They sky was pretty much gray without any real cloud structure but I liked the colors around the boardwalk and I thought the boardwalk provided great subject matter leading into the picture.

The picture has been digitally manipulated in Photoshop CS3 along with some photoshop plugins to stylize and add a diffuse glow to it. I like to play with the shot to see how I might make it a little more creative, so as to show scenes in a different light."

Equipment: Canon 40D digital camera and a Canon 17-40 mm lens.
