Michael Kenna Exhibit of Elkhorn Slough Photographs. In the 1980s, renowned photographer Michael Kenna came to the Monterey Peninsula to photograph Elkhorn Slough and the surrounding environment. The resulting images reveal the unlikely conjunction of marshlands and the neighboring Moss Landing power plant, achieved with Kenna’s usual consummate grace.

Oak Restoration Stewardship at the Reserve. Volunteers will help with weeding invasive plants, placing mulch and removing trash from an oak restoration site. It is best if volunteers wear layered clothing for the temperatures can change rapidly. We will be working in an oak understory area thus we may encounter poison oak, thus another reason to wear long sleeved shirts and pants. Of course, we will try to avoid it. I will provide tools and a light snack. Volunteers are encourage to bring plenty of drinking water and wear sun protection. Please RSVP to Cammy
