Map and Directions to the Elkhorn Slough Reserve

Elkhorn Slough is located about halfway between the coastal towns of Santa Cruz and Monterey. The Reserve is located at 1700 Elkhorn Road, Castroville, CA 95076.

Due to recent storms damaging the road, Elkhorn Road now has 1 closure - just south of the Reserve. Click here for updated information from Monterey County, or call the Reserve at 831-728-2822 for more information. Kirby Park is closed.

Below you will find a map that includes the top 3 ways to get to the Reserve. Scroll down for detailed directions that include detours around the road closure. As of this update, Google maps, Apple maps and Waze are now showing up to date road closures on Elkhorn Road. We are expecting the road south of the Reserve to be closed for several weeks.
