A good dose of Slough dirt
3/21/09

The Prunedale Boy Scout Troop 275 helped the Elkhorn Slough Foundation complete its last native planting project for the ’09 winter season. The Boy Scout volunteers helped plant a combination of 200 oak saplings and other oak woodland species on one of ESF’s newest properties, the 24 acre Iniguez Ranch.

“The Boy Scouts did a terrific job and it’s a chance for them to feel a connection to their natural heritage here on the Central Coast,” says Ken Collins, the restoration project leader. We thank Troop 275 for their invaluable community service.
