Frogs of a Different Color

12/9/02: These small frogs (about an inch long) emerged from the burrow at the left of the photo to sun themselves in a small depression in the South Marsh Loop Trail near Rookery Pond. Although they are quite differently colored, both are Pacific Treefrogs (Pseudacris regilla), and both show the dark eye stripes and back markings characteristic of this species.
