Beautiful spring colors from this Flowering Currant – in January.

A different species of bumblebee on a different plant – a ceanothus.



This California Thrasher blew me away with an extended cycle of songs and rackety sounds. Thrashers have talents similar to Mockingbirds, though they are not nearly so musical. Still, mighty impressive.
