March 13, 2003 familiar faces A Western Grebe and his doppelganger. A red-wing doing his spring thing. A White-crowned Sparrow in a jaunty pose. Northern Harriers are also called Marsh Hawks, and they're a common sight around the slough. I see females (as here) much more often than males.
