A small gopher snake pays a visit.

A pair of egrets form brackets.

I spotted this feral piglet by the side of Elkhorn Road next to the North Slough, and other staff saw it in subsequent weeks. Elkhorn Slough has apparently hosted small bands of pigs in the past – they can be quite destructive of habitat if their numbers get out of hand.

The lupines are looking good in the fields of the Porter Ranch.
