Photographer’s Day Book

May 11, 2003 - rhythms

An important daily rhythm of the slough is the tide cycle. Here we see the footbridge at high tide and then at a minus tide, when the Rookery Lagoon is almost entirely emptied. (Click here to see an even higher tide.)

What a difference the rains make - here is Estrada Marsh, just south of Kirby Park, in September and again in May.
