05/26/03: These are the hands of long-time Elkhorn Slough volunteer and veteran birder Shirley Murphy as she holds up a mirror to nature. Reflected are the eggs of a pair of Chestnut-backed Chickadees (Poecile rufescens) in a nest box just off the South Slough Loop Trail.
