August 7, 2003 – second looks


Same parking lot, different light post, same woodpecker? Don't know, but the Acorn Woodpeckers have been giving us some good looks lately. (That's the entry to a swallow nest below.)



These Cliff Swallow chicks are in the same nest as the previous photo of same, but these two are from a new brood.


Breakfast is served. Didn't we see this guy in Caddy Shack?

Once again the north marsh was a mecca for feeding birds. Note the white pelicans at upper right – this flock seems to be larger and staying longer than it did last year.


Finally, another abstract for our collection. Are we likin' it?
