You've
already seen that the
Tree Swallows returned some weeks ago. Now it's the Cliff Swallows'
day in the sun they're back and busy starting new mud
nests in the eaves of the garage building.

Every morning is a frenzy of activity.

After they're done with the morning's building they'll go hunting
for food.

Here are the nests a few days after the above photos were taken.
They're about half done; when the gourds are complete
there will be just a small hole for the doorway.
