4/26/2004: Maybe we're overdoing the coverage of dragonflies, but you must admit they are photogenic. This one is a California Darner (Aeshna californica), a denizen of ponds, lakes, and marshes. These are among the first dragonflies to be seen in spring on the west coast. This one was sleeping on the outside wall of the ESF office trailer.
