An Anna's Hummingbird has decided to use the shrubs near the Foundation office as its hangout, giving us some very good looks.

Here it is hovering near the Evening Primrose blossoms where it had been sipping nectar.

A nice look at the various kinds of feathers on its body.

The first time we looked at a granary tree, most of the holes were full of acorns. Now they are almost all empty.

But the Acorn Woodpeckers are busy remedying the situation. This one brought an acorn to an oak limb, and a few taps later...

...the acorn was snug in its pre-drilled hole. (The white forehead on this individual tell us that it's a female.)
