11/1/2004: We have previously noted a phenomenon we call "megabirds" in Elkhorn Slough, but this congregation – of Brown and White Pelicans, Great and Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, plus assorted gulls and terns – in the North Marsh may have set a record for birds per square foot.
