3/14/2005: You don't need binoculars to see all the sights at the slough – spring time is bug time! Butterflies certainly give you the glamor shots – here we have a Bramble (or Green) Hairstreak (Callophrys affinis) showing itself to advantage. But there is plenty of other insect activity in, under, and around the trees and shrubs – come out and have a look!
