5/9/2005:
The last time
we looked at Estrada Marsh, it was a very different scene. Back
in 2003 it was dry most of the year, leveed off from the waters
of the slough. In the rainy season it became a brackish marsh.
But several months ago a gap eroded in the levee, and now the
marsh is subject once again to (very muted) tidal flow, adding
a new overlay of rhythms to that of the yearly rains.
