Nine Miles of Protected Land
(all images and maps are available to the press
in hi-res by email from Greg Hofmann)

This view of the Cormack property (the chaparral area in the foreground) shows its relationship to Elkhorn Slough.

The three newly acquired properties are shown outlined in orange; the areas outlined and hatched in yellow are lands already protected by the Elkhorn Slough Foundation.

This hillside on the Renteria property (before it was acquired by ESF) shows severe erosional gullies.

The same hillside five months later, after ESF land staff planted cover crops to stabilize the soil and increase water table recharging.

This view of Elkhorn Slough is from the south end of the Renteria property.
