Opportunities for Students and Researchers


We welcome volunteers, interns, students, and other researchers to participate in our research and monitoring programs or to carry out independent projects. There are many opportunities for research at the Slough.

Volunteer Participation in Monitoring
We welcome volunteer participation in many of our biological monitoring programs.

Internships
At any time, we have a few internships available for qualified students and others willing to work at least 5 hours per week for at least 2 months, semi-independently after initial training.
At present there are no internships available - please check back.

CICEET Grants for Estuarine Technology Development
These grants, appropriate for faculty or advanced researchers, fund the development of innovative technology to address a pressing estuarine conservation issue.

Graduate Research Fellowships
Two graduate students are funded each year to carry out thesis research relevant to conservation priorities at ESNERR.
