We can see the slough from the viewing platform near the Nature Center. Kenton Parker (Education Coordinator for the Elkhorn Slough) has spotted some birds, which he is pointing out to us.

 

 
We walked the trail through the Salt Marsh where the pickleweed grows.
Here we are walking to Hummingbird Island.
