This community forum was hosted by the Elkhorn Slough Tidal Wetland Project (TWP) to (1) preview the draft Tidal Wetland Strategic Plan and provide your input on this document and (2) stay up-to-date about what TWP is currently working on in order to conserve, enhance, and restore tidal habitats in the Elkhorn Slough watershed.

December 2nd, 2006 Community Walking Tour

During this walking tour, participants enjoyed a leisurely walk in Kirby Park while seeing for themselves how the wetlands are changing within Elkhorn Slough. The tour focused on learning about what marsh loss and bank erosion actually look like in the Slough, as well as why they are occurring and what’s being done to keep the Slough healthy for all those who rely on it. Allhandouts distributed during the tour can be found on our Documents web page.
